Anything can be a hat

Well, the title pretty much says it all. For toddlers, just about anything can become a hat! This behaviour represents the beginnings of humour for toddlers; they have understood that these other objects are not hats, and so they enjoy sharing the joke when they put a smock, or a bin, or whatever, on their head.
